Heat Up Wheat Products

IMPORTANT: Keep instructions with your pack - READ before every use. NOT RECOMMENDED for people who may have reduced awareness of temperature or feeling on their skin, eg. Diabetics, people with nerve damage, or people with an impairment that prevents them recognising they may be burnt. It is important to carefully follow these instructions as overheating or inappropriate use may result in injury or fire. DO NOT HEAT IN A GAS OR ELECTRIC OVEN.

HEATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.  Remove the wheat heat bag from packaging.
2. Place the wheat heat bag in the centre of microwave. Make sure the wheat heat bag is flat and evenly distribute the filling material of the wheat heat bag.
3. Remove carefully from microwave, do not pick up with bare hands, handle with care—the wheat heat bag may be extremely hot. 
4. Check the temperature is comfortable before use and avoid direct contact with skin. 
5. Allow the wheat heat bag to cool before reheating.
6. Leave the wheat heat bag to cool on a non - combustible surface after use. 
7. Keep away from small children, the filling if released may pose a risk of choking or inhalation.

MICROWAVE HEATING TIMES:

For WHEAT PACKS sized: 40 x 15cm
Never heat the wheat heat bag for more than 1 minute at a time. Flip the wheat heat bag around at the half way point.

 Microwave Power (Watts) Maximum  Heating Time
1 - 700 watts 90 seconds
701 - 1200 watts 60 seconds


For Small Novelty:
Never heat the wheat heat bag for more than 30 seconds at a time. Flip the wheat heat bag around at the half way point.

1 - 700 watts 30 seconds
701 - 1200 watts 20 seconds

May also be used as a cold pack
Remove the wheat heat bag from the packaging before placing in the freezer. Do not apply the cold pack directly onto the skin. To avoid injury, wrap the cold pack before applying to the skin. Do not apply the cold pack for longer than 20 minutes.


SAFETY WARNINGS
(a) DO NOT USE IF SMELLS OR LOOKS BURNT—allow to cool first then throw away.
(b) DO NOT LEAVE PACK UNATTENDED IN MICROWAVE—in case of fire. 
(c) DO NOT USE DIRECTLY ON SKIN TO AVOID BURNS—use cover or towel between pack and skin.
(d) DO NOT USE STRAIGHT FROM MICROWAVE IF TOO  HOT—allow to cooldown first.
(e) DO NOT USE PACK ON ONE BODY PART FOR MORE THAN 5 MINS—continuous heat may burn. 
(f) USE WITH CAUTION—heat packs can burn skin when used incorrectly and particularly the more delicate skins of children or older people. SUPERVISE children at all times. Do NOT allow unsupervised children to heat and/or use wheat products
(g) MICROWAVE ONLY—do not use in gas or electric oven. 
(h) It is NOT RECOMMENDED to add oils or fragrances to the pack—these may increase the risk of fire.

DO NOT DO THE FOLLOWING:
DO NOT ingest.
DO NOT use when wet.
DO NOT reheat until completely cold.
DO NOT put into storage until cold.

Product complies with AS/NZS 5116-2016

Replace wheat products every 2 years.

STORAGE OF WHEAT PRODUCTS:
1. Storage areas must be clean and well maintained. 
2. Storage area needs to be dry, cool, well-lit, ventilated and vermin-proof. 
3. Storage area must be protected from exposure to moisture and direct sunlight. 
4. Stock must be stored such that cross contamination from physical, chemical or biological contaminants is prevented. 
5. Stock must be stored off the floor, on shelving or in cupboards so that you can clean around it. 
6. When receiving you must check that the pallets are intact and undamaged. 
7. Stock should be labelled with the received date prior to storage and then rotated on a first in, first out basis.
