Hot Water Bottles

NEVER FILL YOUR HOT WATER BOTTLE WITH BOILING WATER: Leave the water to cool a little before using. If the water is too hot for you to touch, then it is too hot for the bottle.

Filling Instructions
1. Check the bottle and stopper for wear and damage 
prior to use. Check integrity of the hot water bottle 
and stopper to ensure it has not deteriorated with 
age. This hot water bottle is made from natural rubber, 
which can perish over time. If bottle is cracked, 
damaged, leaking or showing signs of wear  it should 
be discarded. 
2. When filling this hot water bottle, do not use boiling water 
and fill to a maximum of two-thirds capacity or less. 3. Do not overfill as this might cause the bottle to burst. 4. Hold the bottle by the neck in an upright position and fill slowly to avoid hot water splashing back.
5. Expel air from the bottle by lowering it carefully onto a flat surface until water appears at the opening. 6. Screw the stopper sufficiently tight to ensure that there is no leakage. 7. Finger-tight should be adequate. 
8. Finally make sure the funnel is empty. 

    WARNING (a)  HOT WATER BOTTLES CAN CAUSE BURNS. (b)  AVOID PROLONGED DIRECT CONTACT         WITH SKIN. (c)  DO NOT USE BOILING WATER.  (d)  THIS HOT WATER BOTTLE IS DESIGNED TO         BE PARTIALLY FILLED. 

Instructions for use and care (a)     If there is a possibility that prolonged contact    with the skin could occur, an adequate cover    should be used to prevent burns. (b)    Under no circumstance should the hot water    bottle be used as a cushion and be sat on. (c)     Do not fill using water from the domestic hot    water system as this can considerably    shorten the life of the hot water bottle. (d)     Prevent contact with hot surfaces. (e)     Prevent contact with oil or grease. (f)     When not in use, drain completely and keep,    with the stopper removed, in a cool, dry place. (g)     Prevent exposure to sunlight. (h)     Do not place anything on top of the bottle    during storage. (i)      Check the bottle and stopper for wear and    damage prior to use.

Retain these instructions for future reference. This hot water bottle is made of natural rubber. Replace the bottle every year if you use it most days. Replace the bottle every third year if you use it occasionally or just in winter.
